The Big Lebowski (1998) follows Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski, a laid-back L.A. slacker, who gets embroiled in a bizarre kidnapping plot after being mistaken for a millionaire with the same name, leading him and his bowling buddies, Walter and Donny, through surreal encounters with nihilists, pornographers, and eccentrics as he tries to recover his dignity (and his rug). This Coen Brothers cult classic blends comedy, noir, and stoner tropes, focusing on themes of identity, masculinity, and the search for meaning, all while centering around bowling and White Russians.
